Nouvelle Soft is made from waste paper sourced 100% from the commercial sector of the British Isles, including paper trimmings and printed material which is no longer required.  Nouvelle uses grade four recycled paper from commercial sources because these outlets generate material that is:

Clean: Nouvelle Soft is produced alongside tissue used for food contact and has to meet good manufacturing process guidelines set out by the European Tissue Symposium. Nouvelle Soft is not sourced from local authority recycling schemes to avoid product contamination.

Uniform and available in consistent quantities - to minimise waste in the paper making process.

Recycling was pioneered in the UK over 100 years ago and the UK has a sophisticated and private recovered paper collection network. This diagram demonstrates the recycling loop and the importance of recycled tissue in the process. Recycled tissue uses waste which might otherwise go to landfill and does not require virgin pulp for its direct manufacture, reducing the requirement for this natural raw material.
